The Kobe Luminarie may be postponed again, but these are also beautiful.

I think the Kobe Luminarie will not return. ¥10 million costs. We went about 16 times. Always different always great.

That's unfortunate. Though I only heard it's postponed. Only been once myself, so have only seen one version of it. At least there are other displays to enjoy, like the only above.

At a side note, what exactly are we getting down voted for?

The event is still held in the park next to the government building on Flower Rd. and small displays in other parts.

Pretty sure the Kobe Luminaire was, or one of the first illumination events in Japan around Christmas time back in the late 80s early 90s. It used to attract monster crowds in those days with people coming from far away.

Hope to see it again one day.

The Kobe Luminaire drew about 10 million visitors every year it got bigger. Big economic boost for the area.

I think it started in 1995, originally to commemorate the Hanshin earthquake and provide some kind hope for people in the area.
