Abe Down Under

@MyJT2014: James Packer (Casino Billionaire) was in the parliament House during Mr Abe speech. There was a clear intention why he is there. I hope Mr Abe and his party do not lift the banned on the casinos in Japan. Think of your country social impact first. Hope all Japanese people against the idea of lifting the banned on casino and make enough noises to let the Abe government know that there are not welcome in Japan.

I believe Abe went Australia on many issues, but not to learn about Australian casinos or its social impact. He already observed on casino hotels in Singapore built by multi billionaires experienced in Macao and Las Vegas. .

PM Abe gave a very impressive speech ,very good even he sometimes struggled during his speaking of English . The responses I heard from people through a radio station are generally happy and kind. I wish after signing free trade agreement with Australia , food in Japan will be much cheaper , life will be much easier ,population will be able to increase.

Not a fan of Abe, but he has my respect here.

Cracking job from Mr Abe.

Part of his speech acknowledged the horrors and atrocities visited by Japan on Australians and others in WW2, and vowed Japan would never repeat the feat.

Completely unnecessary for him to do that in this day and age, but interesting he chose to do so.

Just saw a clip. I didnt realise Abe-san had such good English. Of course he was reading a lot, but it was very clear and understandable. Impressive!

Yes all his speech was in English. He even threw in a few jokes and Australian slang. He even spoke about Olympic swimmer Dawn Fraser whom souvenired the Olympic flag from the emperors palace during the 1964 Tokyo Olympics saying he recognises the spirit between the two nations with a metaphor that it was a new DAWN for both countries. A good speech!

He must be speaking in English. Nobody is wearing interpretation devices.

Looks like he commanded the attention of about half of them. Not a bad effort.
