Afternoon prayer

No comments on how horrible these people are for praying at the shrine? Quickly! We must report this to South Korea!!!! (That's sarcasm in case people don't get it)

It looks to me like ordinary Japanese people praying at a shrine dedicated to the war dead, very possibly their relatives. I really must go there one day.

some of them were released free so you shouldn't visit Japan.

I personally would never go there but I completely understand why relatives of those enshrined there would visit.

I never new some of my grandparent due to WW2 so i can understand and empathize with relatives finding some peace in such a visit. But milking it for political gain seams childish and fickle and just a way to appease the right, especially if done by a statesman or his other half for instance. Next time im in Tokyo im going to visit just to see what kind of reaction i get as a gaijin visiting. As a race we (humans) rarely learn from out mistakes, lets hope this changes soon or we are all fubared Peace to all.

Wife and I go there whenever in that part of town. Nice place, quiet.
