AKB48 singer Yuko Oshima, left, poses with a waxwork figure of herself at Madame Tussauds Tokyo in Odaiba on Wednesday. Oshima's figure joins 19 other celebrities, including Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan, Audrey Hepburn, Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga in a see-through body suit, and Johnny Depp in his trademark hat. The exhibit is open until Jan 4, 2012.

She looks really old!

Yuko is easily one of the most colorful characters in AKB. I was in stitches when I saw this video of her meeting the Kano sisters for the first time:

Hahahaha.

What do they do with the wax one after the exhibit is shown? Sell it in AKIBA to the highest Otaku bidder?

Hate to think of what an Otaku would do with it....(chuckle)

Ichiman-en says the wax figure has a higher IQ.

What a coincidence, just in one of my previous post I wrote that the waxwork figures of the Japanese models in the Madame Tussauds museums are posing with more grace and look more natural with more life in their eyes than their original alive counterparts, and in no time here it is.

The real one, left, rather look like she has artificial glass eyeballs than the wax one.

Noooo, no, nothing against lovely Oshima I am just praising Madame Tussauds:-D

Otherwise, I heard them AKB and this super-talent singing, her voice reminded me the sound of a train running into the curve on the unoiled track.

Just one more thought, I don't really understand why Japanese models always pose with those strange things on their head. She is not the first one I can see.

Now, the real one seems to lost her own embellishment or flushed it down the toilet, but we should warn Tussauds' staff or someone to remove the dead usagi on the wax figure's head, very off putting.

um.... two? Well, if the little detail of being alive or mechanical does not make a difference for you, then yes. I guess.

The real one on the left looks more sexy and natural in her dress than the fake one on the right in the silly outfit.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Her looks are so ordinary you could just stick any teen walking around Shibuya up there. No one will know the difference.

kawaii!! i love AKB48 >o<

Wow. The wax one looks a lot younger and cuter.

Which one is the figure? Too close to call.

They're both fake. (^^)y

It took 3 months and 19,000,000 YEN to make this glass fiber "copy".

I guess my troll is here and gave me a thumbs down.

Wax Museums are creepy, but interesting just like creepy clowns.

Wax Museums are creepy, but interesting just like creepy clowns.

I couldn't tell why people visit wax museums, to meet and see the wax imitation of celebs they only know from pictures or movies i.e. to create closer image on how they look in real life, or simply to enjoy their favorites from closer with a little illusion that they met and close to each others.

Maybe some visitors will go only once to see how realistic these figures are and how skillful the Tussauds staff is.

He'd put a little bit into his ear every day and go to one of those creepy ear cleaning places....

What is that thing on the wax figure's head?

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

All that tartan makes her look like a female Bay City Roller, one of the UK teenybopper bands of the 70s, but she does scrub up nicely in a dress.

Looks more like a mother/ daughter portrait though...

I wonder if they will then showcase it in akiba also :P

I want to go see this exhibit even though it scares me. See you there!

Amazing how my post asking what that thing is on the wax figure's head is got 2 thumbs down, yet no answer to my question.

On it's head, looks like Road kill, maybe a small lap dog.

Will all the geeky guys be able to get close enough with their cameras and phones to try to take pictures up the waxworks skirt? If so, this exhibit will be a HUGE success.

It's amazing how many people is obsessed with this rating things when it has no significance at all and doesn't reflect on the value of the post.

BTW. I answered you question even before you posted it , in my very first comment. I said it was a dead bunny. Reading Cricky's post it seems I am not the only one to see things right.
