I guess the santa suit keeps him warm and that just to get an ipad mini 5 minutes sooner than the rest.

Seriously? Do we really need gadget upgrades every 2-3 months?

How I wish my salary upgrade came as often.

complete losers. all this effort to show their friends they have the newest gadget before anyone else?

Atleast Santason has used his common sense and brought a chair, sitting on the cold concrete like that aint going to be too comfortable..

The funny thing is aside from being smaller and with less capability its the same as the IPad. So they are waiting in line for what? To say "Mine is smaller that yours"

Yeah, that's pretty sad. I mean, you could have ordered the iPad mini online and had it delivered to your home today. No need to wait in any lines. BTW this line spans a block; I saw it this morning.

Envy hurts. These guys are there on their own will, and I am sure they're having a good time. Or they'd be somewhere else. If I was in NY and was about to leave to Brazil, I'd wait in front of Apple with great joy.

Santa lost a lot of weigh, waiting for the next apple product

How sad

Waiting in line for apple products has become more of gimmick than anything else. I remember reading an article from the states a few weeks back regarding the iphone 5 release and it said how advertisers send employees to wait in these lines and rep their products.

Another gimmick are so-called news stories about waiting in line for an Apple release. Here the picture of a someone dressed in a santa suit at Halloween (is this news?) is used as an excuse to feed consumers advertising information.

I am still very happy with my iPhone 3GS, the next iPhone I will probably get is iPhone 7!!! I feel so rich and proud that such things do not attract me so much to wait like this in a line! Being rich is not about having a lot, it is about needing less, the same way, being up-to-date doesn't mean you have to have the most recent hardware, it means making the most of what you have. At least that is what I believe!

Whats great about ipad mini? Except the logo of world most valuable company its just an expensive piece of hardware with no GPS on wifi model low resolution, inferior maps. Buying Nexus7 or even new iPad are much better alternatives.

This kind of action only brings one phrase to mind, "Get a life people!"

And you getting annoyed because they're doing their business makes it clear that you should tell "get a life!" to yourself.

-the cheaper nexus 7 beats the ipad-mini all over

-poor apple, you're going the way on sony, just trying to keep the profit going with nothing new to really show or impress with

God I wish I had that much time...

"you're going the way on sony, just trying to keep the profit going with nothing new to really show or impress with . . . "

Wow. Sour grapes, anyone?
