Does anyone know where this is? It would be a pretty cool shot to take...

Don't know where they took this pic but the artwork is from an ad for Mode Gakuen, a vocational school. The ad can be seen here: http://www.mode.ac.jp/tokyo/mind/media.html

A very intriguing picture.

Nice catch, TRichfield! The Tokyo quarters are situated in their self named, iconic looking "cocoon" tower in Shinjuku. Would be nice to see more art related photos instead of the usual vacant, empty smiles of idols and 'tarentos', but I think I'm probably in the minority on that one.

Woulda been better without the businessman.

I don't like the purple eyes. Otherwise nice!

Somehow reminded me of the anime Paprika.

TRichfield

Thanks for the link, interesting, though the music was not needed at all.

I think it is a great pic. Very Japan. Very 2010.

And the sarariman makes the image. It would look faux and insipid without him. The duality gets stretched waaaaaay out from the black silhouette of some dorky guy to the full on psychedelicattesen of that face and eyes. Dayglo nada.

Very nice.

"the sarariman makes the image"

No, he definitely takes away from the image. He looks out of place completely. Maybe if he'd been standing there stroking his chin whilst gazing at the artwork...

Nice picture. Then, as usual, my imagination gives me the picture that in the middle of the night when a passenger walk by; the picture comes alive and swallow that person ( gosh! I have to cut down watching horror films ).

I have you figured out Sarge.

"He looks out of place completely. "

You tickle me. Of course he is out of place, but is it where he wants to be? Does she see him? Or is he oblivious? Slaving away in the dark in a land of rainbow imagination? He is slouching, defeated. She is a bold Jane Grey new age demigod.

If this were a snapshot, he would be out of place. I see something more.

I'm guessing thats graffiti art? Makes me want to play Jet set Radio Future again... ah those were the days.

Why does it always have to be a unsuspecting businessman walking by the object? The picture looks like something from La Cage Aux Folles.
