Artistic swimming

Congratulations to China for winning the gold and to the other teams for trying. Only one country could have beaten China for the gold and that country was banned from competing!!!!!!!!!

I guess this photo explains why they could do no better than 5th. It doesn't seem like too long ago that Japan was constantly battling the U.S. for gold. How times have changed.

Men were eligible to compete in the sport, formerly known as synchronized swimming, for the first time in Olympic history but none of the 10 teams had a male swimmer.

Some folks won't let their daughters compete with men, lol
