Nothing worse than western girls trying to look Asian..another load of western crap

Not exactly a hairstyle that is going to survive the morning commute. But I suppose that's not the point. Good goth though.

So apparently "Girl's Explosion" refers to the absolute mess the hairstyles were made into? You have to wonder if these models realize these pictures will live on the internet long after they've put away their runway-walking boots. It will be an interesting conversation when their grandkids come up and say, "Grandma! Was this really YOU?! WHAT were you thinking?!"

Samurai models may stick a short sword, keeping her hair stabilize and cool; even she can use for self-defense.

A gentleman pays more attention on his lady, no matter she puts on kimono or Eva costume. But, she knows what he is interested more by creating imaginary curiosity. Fashion industries go that way to survive ...

"I like this quote: "Only men who are not interested in women are interested in women's clothes. Men who like women never notice what they wear." Anatole France"

Goals0-thanks.

I think I would like an interpretation on her expression. Correct me if I am wrong but it seems that it may be part concentration, part OMG my hair is so HEAVY. Did they put sticks in there to keep anything living from running away?

Gene Simmons called. He wants his boots back.

Well, I'm a fan of Yoshiki's music, but... yeah, maybe he should just stick to music...

gaijinstud. I agree it's quite funny... I also think she will look nice in polo shirts.

BurakuminDes. Yes and we could sing Eternal Flame and make their hearts melt as well xD

All Japanese girls and women should wear little kimonos like this one, this spring! Hanami will be much more fun!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

gotta love the gaijin on here taking shots at yoshiki's sexuality. speaks volumes... she's look better in cinos and polo shirts?

"Asia Girls Explosion" has its mission and vision ... bridging the gap of fashion culture between Japan and North America.

3RENSHO , nothereillega, "Close your eyes, give me your hands, darling" we will see the world .. beautiful ...

"Asia Girls Explosion" fashion event but the models are not asian?

Simply terrible.

"With this outfit, she can run and looks a little wild, but makes me feel our life is not static or routine. She can wear both types of kimono on special occasions. We feel happy then."

Tokyovisitor -- you are cracking us up. Keep it coming!

Hoping against hope that this style shows up in my university classes...

A Goth Kimono...! Dinah Cancer of the LA band 45 Grave was dressing like this in 1982. Not sure this look is any better now.

Looks terrible,absolutely TERRIBLE.

A good kimono can cost 100,000 yen to 300,000 Yen .... or more.

hahahahaha....thanks for that pearl of info

Horrible.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

he really does look quite good in that

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Maybe that was true back in anatole's day when showing ankle was like pornography. Modern womens clothes should interest a man who is interested in women :)

Japan X, the world's greatest band of _____.

fill in the blank

0 ( +0 / -0 )

she looks like she's just been groped in the train................

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Thanks for a great night Yoshiki. I really enjoyed the show...well, not so much the fashion but X Japan. You are truly the world's greatest band.

Is it Halloween yet?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Lovely! Great to see more avant garde kimono fashions! Yoshiki could do well in this field as well. Exciting!

A dark expression with an ugly piece of Kimono? Here comes the dark side.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Reminds me of a girl fight at a club a few year back. Both ladies came out looking like that....even the hair

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Alexander McQueen was doing this years ago.

This fashion is popular for young girls to party-time in big cities ... like Tokyo, San Francisco ...Routine work can survive when we hit a road ...a new world we can see ...

Translation please.

Let's hope Yoshiki sticks to music and doesn't try clothing design again.

There is something furry eating her head! Kill IT!!!! Aside from the other fashion flaws, the pattern on the kimono is quite nice.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Another crap of a music stars stupid idea. Complete ruin of Kimono image.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Reminds me of that idiotic up-dated kimomo outfit the Japanese contestant was going to wear at the Miss Universe pageant a year or so ago.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I like this outfit, even not for my taste, but creativity and courage. Traditional kimono has shaped not only Japan's culture, but also Japanese women's virtues and feminine characteristics. With this outfit, she can run and looks a little wild, but makes me feel our life is not static or routine. She can wear both types of kimono on special occasions. We feel happy then. Thanks Yoshiki! A good kimono can cost 100,000 yen to 300,000 Yen .... or more. I may check with her.

Nobody expects that catwalk designs are to be worn on the street, it's primarily to feature the creativity of the designer. Surprisingly I actually like this ensemble though would have preferred some less clunky footwear, but then that might have made the whole thing too stereotypical.

This look is played.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Couldn't agree more with asianTourist. Very artistic indeed.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Not a bad choice of colours, but when one looks at a REAL Kimono they are with the best of colours & a woman looks good in them.

What this woman in wearing is dramatically off line of what it is claimed to be.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Marylin Manson would look good in that.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

PS. I like how he used the colors for kimono and obi, the kimono pattern is nice too, rose or peony it doesn't matter. The clothes are very aggressive and bold. They are to my taste. Well done to Yoshiki. There is not need to show the bra but as this is a show, maybe they needed it.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Actually I like this outfit. Yoshiki designed something great. Bigger women can actually wear it without being funny trying to hide their curves.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Debucho, right, I dont know why people love catwalks. Everything you see, you never see on the streets. Thank god for that btw.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

asianTourist, what are you talking about?!?

Yoshiki, you are as fruity as your designs.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I think it is kinda sexy, but in reality nobody will wear this on the street. Why can't designers design something regular people can wear?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I hate to say it, but she sure looks like a ghost in that dress.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

This fashion is popular for young girls to party-time in big cities ... like Tokyo, San Francisco ...Routine work can survive when we hit a road ...a new world we can see ...

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Exposing bra is better than exposing the entire thigh muscles.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Oh no!.. but for fun ok. Call it kimono but it isn't.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

This is another extreme of Japan's today fashion. Yoshiki brings the audience into the transitional sentiment of mystic Japanese kimono, conservative 19th-century European dress, modern U.S-military-style boots, neck0-chain Gothic impression, exposing-bra rebellion, spider-web stocking legs, .... breathlessly saying ... Yoshiki, you did it! AAA ...

0 ( +0 / -0 )

the future of geishas? hope not. Although with normal make up and hairdo and shoes, I dont see this go wrong for luring tourists heh.
