Seems that for all the government and media fearmongering out there, a big slice of the public are starting to see this virus scare for what it is - a bad flu that in almost all cases strikes people with depressed immune systems. Isolate them for their own protection and let the rest of us get on with our lives.

I submit that "normal" for most of use was NOT careless and carefree and that going back to normal will not be so. For example big pharma has been making big money from their 50 percent or less effective flu shots because people were not generally careless and carefree. If some people don't get something its the calls for continued strict locks downs are often the result of misery loving company.

Everyone now gets to stand 2cms apart...

The main reason why many Asian countries are fighting this pandemic better than many other European and American countries is asians know it is not just a bad flu and are treating it more seriously. Covid-19 is a potentially deadly virus that is highly contagious. Especially to elderlies and people with underlining illnesses. The lockdowns are to slow and contain the spread of the virus so medical systems are not overwhelmed. It is very difficult or impossible to eradicate this pesky virus. Prolong lockdowns are not variable. So once the spread is contained, it is OK to reopen with precaution measures until hopefully a cure or vaccine can be developed very soon.

The mods will probably censor this as YouTube did, but there was an interview with Prof Dolores Cahill (heavily published virologist, with over 6,000 citations) about how dangerous this virus is or isn't, and ways to mitigate the risk that don't cause more problems than they solve.

Interesting viewing, and calls into serious question the measures governments are taking.

Sweden tried to do this by banning visiting to elderlies in nursing homes and implementing limited restrictions Unfortunately, somehow the virus found its ways into those nursing homes and scores of people were killed. This is why Sweden's Covid-19 death per million is higher than the USA. Also not all healthy people catches covid-19 recovers themselves. Many gets worst and need hospital treatment. You really cannot let this virus runs rampant in the society. It has to be contained. Many countries have successfully done it. Prolong lockdown is not variable but a little tough measures are necessary.

Seoul seems to be doing well, for hte city of its size. Remember Korea never had a lockdown, just like Taiwan.

This is how coronavirus cases will increase again. Ppl think: " oh, now the SOE finished I can enjoy and go out!". Japanese ppl seem don't care about crowded places yet.. social distance pls! Oh.. Japanese ppl are still dumb..
