Disgusting behaviour of the school, during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Absolutely shameful.

I wonder how many parents didn’t send their kids.

This virus is going to spread like wildfire

Opening ceremonies will take place, albeit in a limited way. Students, especially the new 1st years need info on how to study while at home. ID and passwords for App they will use during isolation are necessary.

Our high school has the entrance ceremony on Wednesday, then off till the 11th May. Mandatory temp. check for all staff has already begun.

Common sense is needed to plan stuff.

Pretty sure any information could be sent via Internet/ fax no need at all for this.

And the kids all marching in to become the country's latest minions.

My daughter's is tomorrow.

She's not going. She's also not the only one.

This school has the press there and still not doing social distancing.

In theory, I am not 100% against schools operating in some limited fashion, but I think people, schoolteachers included, are too careless to be trusted, "heiwa boke" if you like. The government instructions are to avoid the "three mitsus". This school thinks lining the kids up for the same type of photo as every year is more important.

Masks may not stop the virus but at least they are getting some protection from the totally out of control nuclear disaster.

Only the Village Idiot would open up school

Seems quite outrageous to be holding ceremonies like this. Schools are already a bad enough place as far as transmission of viruses is concerned, and -now- of all times? When the entire world is locked down trying to stop the spread? You put children into ranks and files?

Japan.... Yeesh..

Well I went to do some groceries and the first thing I saw after leaving the apartment was plenty of kids and their parents walking from school to see sakura close to the school.
