Banzai is so yesterday. Try saying "Bonsai! Bonsai!" . Now the words match the pose.

I fail to see what there is to cheer about. Fukushima, Yasukuni, territorial tension, massive government debt, the list goes on...
SenseNotSoCommon
Surely more お手上げ than 万歳?

sighclops: There is plenty to cheer about. Japan is awakening from its economic slumber, and Abe has put the nation on a path to unstoppable growth and prosperity. Shareholder value is finally being unlocked in many sectors, allowing us to invest and generate wealth, which will lead to higher wages and more buying power for consumers. Abe is also finally ending Japan's masochistic, crippling acceptance of Article IX, and bringing Japan into a future where it will be able not only to defend itself, but to stand for freedom on the right side of history. I shout Banzai in unison with Mr Abe.

Yes, those fabled 'wealth generators' and 'job creators'. Have worked wonders in the US.
I smell a troll.
homleand
plasticmonkey, I'm not sure what you mean, but surely you don't want to see Japan siding with China at this point in hihstory, from a geopolitical point of view?

They've been doing this banzai routine for what? Like a few thousand years? What good is this supposed to do besides pleasing a bunch of yes-men?
Japan's olympic slogan should be: "More of the same - nothing ever really changes!"

If there's anything to cheer for, no matter whatever they do, there will be unwavering supporters voting for them.

They look like WWII Japanese soldiers cheering on their emperor God, after they wiped out a village.
BertieWooster
Why do they call it the "Liberal Democratic" party, when it is neither liberal, nor democratic?

@chucky3176
Again you, biggest troll of them all, now you showed how big is your hate toward Japan, your hate is totally disgusting .
