The seated person with the umbrella appears to be the only polite one here

How about making posters about mobile zombie walkers inside the stations?

Someone dripping on you? Say something! People are to scared to upset the "wa"!

Do travellers really need these “good manners” posters? Common sense.

Why do the people who come up with these posters always treat passengers as children?

Please be careful when calling passengers children.

I fully understand the message, the reality is another matter.

Japan society is the definition of polite mannered courteous behaviour.

Such umbrella ignorance will remain stuff of posters/cartoons.

In Osaka train stations they have lots of those posters. The target audience — everyday Japanese commuters — is, unfortunately, the group of people least likely to see them.

'Common sense'? That's nearly non-existent. How about saying 'Don't be a jerk, watch where you stick that thing!'

Someone suggested a poster to stop the use of the anti social face covers as well as umbrellas.
