Actor Russell Crowe appears in stage at Toho Cinemas in Roppongi Hills ahead of the Japan premiere of his new film "Noah" on Monday night. Crowe said the role of Noah was the most complex part he had ever taken, and the flood scenes were very difficult to film. The biblical epic opens in Japan on June 13.

Recently Paramount added a disclaimer stating that the film was inspired by the story of Noah and is not a retelling of the story because the film is historically inaccurate and does not accurately reflect what happened in Genesis. The true story is in the Bible. Noah's son were married adults when they entered the Ark with a plan to continue life. The world gets destroyed because men's heart had grown corrupt, perverse, violent and far beyond imagination. They had a chance to give their hearts, mind, and will to God. Noah warned the people of coming judgment but at the end they realized that wickedness never was happiness.

I am looking forward to seeing this!

Does it make mention of the fact that the Noah story in the bible is, let's say "inspired" by a story from a much earlier religion?

Anyone expecting a standard biblical epic really isn't familiar with the director's previous work.

I don't know if it does, but I don't think it is necessary.
