People that have low self esteem, come to Japan equal to the minor league
John-San
Yrral: It not a minor league. Compare your yearly pay to Bauer. Bauer is on more money then what his last USA MAJOR league contract was. That low esteem ? I bet you have low esteem when you find out the difference between his and your earnings.

Technically, 90 percent of the years income for Bauer is from his Dodgers waiver compensation. So the cost to Yokohama is about a 90 percent discount on what a team would usually pay a Cy Young award winner. If he has a great year, DeNA may be pressured to pay him more next year, but it is unlikely that many MLB teams will want his scandal tarnished image so that takes away a lot of bargaining leverage.

Don't know how he is doing but I have seen a couple of his vids on YouTube and he seems a really likable guy.

Wow. Just saw the police photos of the woman he allegedly bashed back in the US. Hope the Baystars are okay with this.

They are. They don't care that he beat the he'll out of her and had anal without her consent after he choked her unconscious.

@TorafusuTorasan Yes, the Yokohama BayStars got a steal, you are totally incorrect most guys who have tarnished careers leave the country and go play in other countries because over time Americans tend to care less about the media driven bashing day after day. Look at Deshawn Watson the football player he did something similar stayed out of the NFL a year only to come back and be signed as one of the highest paid players in the game. Its obvious you don't know sports in the US. If Bauer has a great year in Japan many MLB teams will be lining up to sign him regardless of his past and this is what he knows and his agents. He is over in Japan to stay in baseball shape as he readies himself for a return and the people could careless of his tarnished past. The owners well all they want to do is win!

Bauer will never play mlb baseball again. He should not be playing in Japan. His attempts are marketing are cringe and his history is unpleasant to say the least. I hope he behaves in Japan.
