**Why is there 4 holes in the tuna near its tail?** I would think they are core samples, to see how much fat is on the tuna and also to see the quality of how red the meat is. The darker the sample the price is higher.

Actually, they originally thought it was a giant mackerel.  This would give them a reason for shouting, HOLY MACKEREL!!!
