Prince Hisahito, 3rd in line to throne, left, and his father Prince Akishino sit on the grounds of the Akasaka Detached Palace in Tokyo. Prince Hisahito, the only grandson of Japan's Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko, celebrated his ninth birthday on Sunday.
