Prince Hisahito poses with his sisters, Princess Kako, left, and Princess Mako at a rice field of the Akasaka Detached Palace in Tokyo. Prince Hisahito, who is third in line to the throne, turned 10 years old on Tuesday. His birthday comes amid heightened interest in the imperial system among the public after his 82-year-old grandfather Emperor Akihito indicated last month his readiness to abdicate in the future. Hisahito's father is Prince Akishino, who is the younger of the emperor's two sons. The young prince is in his fourth year at an elementary school in Tokyo affiliated with Ochanomizu University. Cute kids ...
Not to be mean, but where is the movement to remove gender-specificity from the rules of succession? Looks like there are at least five persons who should be in line ahead of Prince Hisahito, not two.

born with the taxes of my ancestors backs and now mine,. for shame that the ministers and that ignorant house keep this system. give me my tax money and let them all work like we all do, earn the old fashioned way.

If I recall correctly, there were serious rumblings about doing this very thing until 10 years ago when a male successor was finally born and then the rumblings completely disappeared. It's a shame.
I think you MIGHT be able to buy a cheeseburger at McDonald's with the portion of YOUR tax money that goes to the Imperial Household. Their portion of the tax revenue pales in comparison to the taxes spent on the day-to-day running of the government.
As for working "like we all do", they probably would like having to live a somewhat normal life rather than being displayed in that gilded cage.

Princes. Princesses. Emperors. Palaces. Thrones. Imperial Systems. I love it, it sounds like a fairy tale.

Why does Princess Kako always look like she's done something incredibly naughty?

Seriously? I hope you are being sarcastic. In any case, he won't be reigning any time soon
