Oh my gosh, I forgot to comment on this photo until now!

Great photo! I've taken some close-up photos of bees myself. Without getting stung!

bees hornets etc all go into overdrive come fall to stock up for the winter so to speak, watch out thats when they are most agressive

I used a Canon Kiss 2 (which is apparently sold as a Rebel 450 outside Japan). I believe that this model has now been replaced by something newer.
