Nah, man. This is Japan. Can't use air-conditioner until May 1st, or heating until December 1st. It's all decided. The government said they successfully negotiated with the virus and asked it to please cooperate and stay away from June 1st, when everything would reopen fully. So, there's no problem. The virus surely understands the importance of restarting the economy and of gubernatorial elections, and stump speeches are an important part of that. Had it been on May 31st in some prefectures it would have been risky, but after midnight, no problems. The government said so, and another thread already points out that Abe and Co. made no mistakes at all with Covid 19.
