Son: Dad what is Christmas?
Dad: Its a Japanese tradition to go in debt buying crappy Prada and Vuitton presents and eating Kentuky Fried Chicken.
Son: I dont get it.
Dad: This is uniquely unique Japan. This is our holiday to prove it to the world.
Son: Asouka.

Japan`s Christmas illuminations far surpass anything in the UK. Pity they havent a clue about the real meaning of Christmas, though.

It's bizzare that the Japanese society who was literally sealed for centuries from the outside world and as a result developed it's own unique traditions and festivals embraced this totally foreign holiday . Any one has an explanation ?
