Lame. Envious about what? I'm neither interested in chainsaw art nor trophies, let alone one's with skulls on top. I do say hats off to the man for his skill, all the same.

Oh, I got the pun the first time around, if that's what you are referring to.

I'm not going to enter the argument about the trophy - there's no point. BUT, having used many a chainsaw and watched chainsaw artists, including native North Americans using the tool to carve totems, and a white guy carve an eight-foot high standing grizzly that looked like it was ready to eat you, I must say, it's a true skill. And when that skill is combined with an artistic bent, what a bunch of beautiful creations! There's an old saying, 'creativity in action', and I think that's what the originator of that phrase would easily have put on this kind of activity.

I have absolutely no artistic talent whatsoever. I am in awe of anyone who can produce a work of art but something like sculpture - 3D art if you like - is just especially mindblowing. To be able to take a lump of something and turn it into something like that - just wow.

I am happy just to chain saw my wood for my stove to similar length before chopping haha, no sculptures for me!
