Why bother? It just looks like they're putting on a show, "Look, we're not scared of a measly virus enough not to remind you of the state's power!"

On the lookout for the Coronavirus...

How nationalistic headline indeed.

As if police were competent and able to spot a virus thinking it lies undercover in the small streets of a Chinese area.

As if a virus was checking a passport carrier before getting hosted.

Fail again lol

For what purpose? Do Lunar New Year Celebrations usually get out of hand? If they're looking for the virus, shouldn't their guns be drawn?

Most of the shop owners in Yokohama's Chinatown are fourth or fifth generation families who long ago naturalized as Japanese. Any possible carrier of the virus is likely to have arrived in the past week, and will probably be found in Ginza, Ikebukuro, Shinjuku, Ueno or Shibuya. Why would a tourist from China want to go to Yokohama?
