Circle of LOVE

Children from Nishimachi International School in Tokyo pose with Grand Hyatt General Manager Steve Dewire, back center, and charity organization officials during an event to launch the Circle of LOVE Christmas project on Thursday. The children took part in a workshop to make Christmas tree ornaments from corks from RE Kikou, an organization that recycles wine and champagne corks into new products, to help generate employment and support for people with disabilities.

Ornaments will be on sale in the hotel's restaurants and bars and the money will go to the children of Tohoku via the Kids Earth Fund. Also, the hotel will offer a special Circle of LOVE stay package, with part of the room revenue also going to the Kids Earth Fund, as well as charity hampers made from recycled corks.

As of September 2014, the Grand Hyatt Tokyo has raised about ¥42 million for the Tohoku region.

Enlarge the Circle of LOVE. Christmas is a time of year when love, peace and joy take center stage.

Yay! Great job to NIS, my alma mater! (and to the G-Hyatt of course...)
