It’d be a full time job for them in the U.K.

After they finish their job, they change their uniform into suits and walk around the streets, standing in Densha, eating at Izakaya. One of the scenes of Tokyo Sonata. Was amazed.

Bring back trash bins in parks and everywhere. Hire people to empty them. Win win.

@bearand rodent,

awesome comments.

I see all of the trash collectors and jackhammer operators wearing helmets while they don't wear any ear protection.

And pet bottles full of urine that the truck drivers chuck out of their window when they have done. They litter the side of every main highway.

Good initiative, we do the same here from time to time. If there’s one complaint I had in Japan whilst out and about it was the lack of rubbish bins around.

Can they do my neighborhood next?

I despise litterbugs

zichi, sadly dumped or thrown out car windows after a late trip to the “combini”.

The craziness, a short trip back to the “combini” and there are bins to deposit the refuse in.

I have volunteered for the local river patrol, I must be off my trolley, I just hate seeing the bags of rubbish floating. The local fire brigade provide the protective gear and the helmet.

I do lent a hand. I do not litter. Never.

Have our community out and about preening the neighborhood tomorrow, great fun.

Early start, chance to gossip to, social distancing allowing.

Plus the added value to our local environment.

It all part of a joint commitment to community spirit.

Why don't they just install litter bins? It would make their job a lot easier and result in a cleaner environment.

Instead of complaining, why don't you lend a hand?

Why do they need helmets?

For cosplay, of course.

Ever go for a stroll in the mountains in jeans and sneakers, while everyone else is dressed for Everest?

So everyone can see how great and self sacrificing they are.

Litter bins indeed and most of all buy less junk so one can throw away less junk. At the same time wrap everything 6 times in plastic. Portions where the package costs more and weighs more than the actual product.

recycling is a farce in Japan where incineration is considered recycling.
