Cleansing of sins

Is there something about strange hats, I can't think of a religion that doesn't have its high ups in some form of interesting head wear.

Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission for sins. The perfect sacrifice put on flesh to shed his precious royal blood to pay for the penalty of men’s sins on a tree 2,000 years ago. Sinners are called to repent and accept him as savior and Lord to be saved.

I doubt that too many Japanese - maybe not even the priests? - really believe that their sins are washed away or that they are really purified through ceremonies like this, but still they do it our of habit and maybe just in case it works? Not sure.

I had read once that Japanese had no concept of sin. Was this correct or not?

I know there is 罪, but that is really not the same thing.

It's a sin in Japan, but it's not in my country. In the USA is also not the same thing of sins. So, sin is a matter of human values.
