I have seen many shots like this...first thing I noticed 15 yrs ago...mini cranes and guys standing around watching is a common sight in Japan- minus the destruction in the background. The crane racket sure made out as it did many years ago.

I do wonder why they're just standing around and watching. Couldn't they be picking stuff up or something? Or maybe they did before and/or after this shot was taking.

it's not a crane..' it's a mini Excavator with a claw attachment put on. Japanese call them Power Shovels. So I guess this one would be a mini power shovel.
