Aso-san "Can you check my math? Five plus five equals four, right?"
Madame LaGarde "Only if you are trying to come up with unemplyment figures."
Aso-san "Does minus two plus minus two equal two?"
Madame Lagarde "Only of you are trying to calculate growth."
Aso-san "so desune..."

It seems that he shows some kinda numbers to her and proves something,
serendipitous
Aso - 'What's this kanji again?'
Lagarde - 'You should know Taro'
Aso - 'Ah so desuka'.
Serrano
They're on the same page - they both want to raise Japan's consumption tax to 10% and it won't affect either of them personally.

I can't enlarge the photo without it becoming blurry but from what I can make out, it sure looks like kanji and katakana on the visible part of that sheet of paper. I guess she either reads Nihongo or is smelling him.

"You see, I had the tuna melt, and you had the kreplach."

Perhaps it's the sunbed schedule during the meeting.

Darn... you guys beat me to mocking him about his Kanji level! I'll write a caption anyway.
Aso: "You can read Kanji better than I. What does this say?"
Lagarde: "I believe that's your name... in Hiragana".
Aso: "Ah, so! Thank you. What's with these documents not having any manga shouting instructions? It's difficult!"

Still trying to figure out how much Nissin Instant Ramen costs....

There was the same shot with the prime minister some time back. Maybe we all should just lend more money from the crowd?

'Christine san, I think there's a spelling mistake here. Someone spelt my family name with an 'le' on the end. Is that how French people spell it?'

Aso: "All these growth numbers have parenthesis around them. That is good, right?"
Serrano

I'm colorblind. Why are all these numbers green?
