Superb colour, but they horizon is not level in this one. It's the small details that count......

Beautiful. Time for the red leaf. Today we are heading into the Kobe mountains to enjoy the red leaf here.

Excellent picture!! Very pristine indeed. Just curious....I wonder if he used a Canon or an Olympus? I'm pretty sure it was Canon. Olympus is sometimes out of focus.

, that's an easy fix, cock your head to the left about 5 degrees. Does that include spelling as a small detail? LOL

Awesome pic!!!

zichi, Nah...I'd rather be heading into the Hawaiian mountains so I can enjoy the 'leaves' there. Be careful and enjoy your trip!

Gurukun,

thank you. We love Hawaii too but I also like the four seasons, especially the spring and autumn.

I love the autumn colors!

Such a beautiful picture!! The four seasons are clearly defined in Japan. And they have each color for four seasons. I think they will be able to enjoy seeing just view. I live in Okinawa, we can’t see like this view. I am so envy!

Japn has 4 seasons and is beauty and safety country

Yes, it's pretty, but Fukuroda is usually mobbed on weekends and it can take hours to get the elevator up to the viewing site, so if you go, make it a weekday. Parking is tight too. JTB operates an affordable tour, including an iroriyaki lunch, that leaves early in the morning from Hamamatsucho and returns to Tokyo Station.

Some nice pics here. I have a set called Autumn that I show as wallpaper on my PC. http://www.kabegami.com/kabe/C00102/contentlist/comid/1217/p/1/s/0

The most beautiful season to visit Japan is fall, much better than sakura season.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

This falls are nice but a lot are cluttered up tourist traps, been to lots you usually need a telephoto to keep out all the daft chicks walking aound in high heels dressed like they were in ginza instead of trying to enjoy the outdoors LOL.

If its one of those definitely avoid on a weekend, you have been warned & these places are not places where one can relax & enjoy the fresh air etc, if you wan that hike a bit & stick to spots that arent "famous" haha

Comments like this DO NOT count.

There are plenty of other countries with 4 seasons. And about safety? Nah. Ancient history. Sorry. This is the real REAL world. There is violence and crime everywhere in the world. Japan included.

I think Japan has four very clear seasons but in my own country Britain they kind of mix into each other.

Sweet. I wish I were there!

Interesting Comment zichi..good point about the clear change of seasons in Japan..but maybe it all depends where in Japan you are?

Of course, having lived in Kansai and Kanto I have to agree with you so I am curious to hear from people from other regions. Do the seasons mix, or is there an abrupt change?

Great pic by the way! Let's enjoy it's beauty and thank JT for posting it.

This is a happily not very popular area of northern Kanto, with some very exotic undiscovered rural roads that lead back in time. The falls may be crwded at this time of year, with Japanese, but there are many otherplaces nearby just as colorful.

Ayler -- yup, and three of those seasons are really nothing to write home about. From my years there, the time from October to early December was what made the other "seasons" worthwhile. But, the colors in autumn in places like Nikko are simply spectacular.

4 seasons ahahaha the usual sharks are circling for chum

Mas Tsuda (The Medal of Honor winner) gave me a small Japanese Maple and I planted it in my front yard and today (Ten years later) the whole town is coming to my place to take pictures of my front yard - the tree is beautiful!
