American actor Tom Cruise, 50, poses with Ukrainian actress Olga Kurylenko, 33, during a news conference in Tokyo on Tuesday to promote their new film "Oblivion." Cruise, making his 19th visit to Japan, was greeted by about 500 fans when he arrived at Haneda airport on Monday night from Okinawa where he had been vacationing. He said he loves Japan, its culture and people and added that he would love to make a film here one day. "Oblivion" opens in Japan on May 31.

Great camera angle for Tom but painful pose for poor Olga! Despite a huge difference between hip heights, he looks nearly as tall as her.

A picture that somehow looks as uncomfortable as watching an episode of The Office.

She was great in "Centurion"... must be annoying having that Munchkin holding her.

He was great as Stacee Jaxx in Rock of Ages. He seems much better in these non-super hero roles..

It's one of the great injustices of the world that someone like Tom Cruise would get to throw an arm around Olga Kurylenko, and I don't. sigh

There it is again... the "Press Photo Smiles". The bottom teeth are completely hidden with the lower lip while as much of the uppers are shown without looking like you're straining. I swear they have a "Smile School" for celebrities somewhere.

In Oblivion, humans have been fighting aliens known as the Scavs.

I suppose. The entire movie's plot is given on Wikipedia if we're going to start talking about the plot.

Even Tom has forgotten about The Last Samurai, which is probably for the best.

"Last Samurai" was filmed in NZ, which body-doubled for Japan...
