Strange how some people (well, many here) think he's a real hoot - as this picture harmlessly suggests - and other people think of him as a scary monster.

How on earth would that divergence have occurred?

Ignorance.

Perfect for sticking pins into!

The hands are still too big.

This is a very kind and sympathetic likeness. Unlike the original.

She is wearing white gloves and so is he.

That doll looks more like Ken from Barbie than Donald Trump.

Can you imagine Taira no Kiyomori speaking like Trump back in the day?

When I'm Shokoku (chancellor) I will move the capital from Kyoto to Fukuhara, it's going to be better, it's going to be great ,and we'll get the Minamoto, who are total scumbags by the way, to pay for it.

Hope the young lady doesn't get close enough to be grabbed.

Just give him 2 sheathed swords on the same side and it's complete!

It strikes me as very odd that, most Japanese care more about US politics than their own. Nearly every Japanese person I speak to has an opinion about Trump, but ask them about Abe and they have nothing to say.

This is what you get from a country that's been ruled by sword wielding nutjobs, who could legally cut down the common man if he ever so dared as to question their honor, for the better part of a millennia. Look up "kirisute gomen".

Kyugetsu are probably hoping Trump will be offended and attack them on twitter. Instant world fame.

That head looks awfully big compared with the "rest of the body".

Ummm, if you think his head is too big, you've never really heard him talk.

They wouldn't dare to say anything against Dear Leader...

"That's a wonderful doll, the greatest doll ever. I cherish hina matsuri. I have such respect for the Japanese. You know, hinamatsuri is big in Japan, but maybe it's going to be time to change, because so many people want it -- you have Korea that wants it, you have China that wants it. I don't know."

Abomination.

If I were an alien from outer space and landed in Japan and watched TV all day, I would think Trump is the Prime Minister here...Or I would at least think Japanese wish they were American

Any creature with the intelligence capable of building such a spacecraft would bugger off sharpish the moment they found out Trump was the leader of the most powerful country on the planet.

They've made the hair too, coiffured. it just doesn't look like the urine streaked roadkill of reality.

Nothing like him - its mouth is closed.

I love all of the insults from the butthurt Left. Makes all those years of sitting through Obama's arrogance and demeaning of America almost worth it. The problem with all the complaints is that Trump isn't doing anything that Obama, Bush, and Clinton also did before him. Except Trump is more in your face about it as a real New Yorker is predisposed to do. Keep it coming for the next 4 to 8 years. Your frustrations and anger are just as overwrought as Trumps personality. I'm loving it.

Shouldn't he have a cell phone in his hand and be screaming at the screen?

And we're not doing anything other than what the right has done for the past eight years.

Frustrating lying in that bed you made, isn't it.

@Wolfpack

Oh, come on. Trump is lout, a loudmouth, a rabble-rouser, an egomaniac and a narcissist. Honest supporters of Trump admit this and support him in spite of it. He's deserves parody and mockery. That's what you read here. There is nothing sinister here.

Your skin seems as thin as the orange clown you are defending. Come back with a justifiable whine when a poster calls him the anti-Christ as some rightist lunatics called Obama.
