Cute little ducks. I like to go up to Watarase in the winter when the hordes of migrating birds drop in for a rest - shore to shore birdies, all quacking away. There's something very peaceful about a duck.
These ducks look friendly! During my stay in Boston for university, a Canadian goose in the park chased/flew after a biker for 15 meters because the biker came close to its goslings (he was riding leisurely and was 6 meters away too!).
How irradiated will these ducks become and will their meat appear in kamo-nan soba for people to get contaminated with? What a sad and preventable disaster.

'the' pond? what pond?
Cleo: That pond in the picture. Can't you see it? :-)
Surprise ! Surprise ! Who'd have guessed it ? On the other hand there are thousands, if not millions of "ponds" in Japan...
Maybe recherche88 would have like to have known where this particular pond is so as to go and see the ducks...
With a pseudo such as "recherche", he/she may be interested in accomodating one of the ducks in orange sauce...
Good photo for they are NOT like Canada Geese that can be so different to the smaller ducks.
I have a friend that makes a Spring pond so between his wife & one daughter they are not only attracted to the ducks & young ones, it is the fun of feeding them ( to scarring off the owel that looks upon the little ones as food) just out from the window of their home.

Cute little guys! Surprised how none of them have two heads and/or three legs. I guess it'll be THEIR kids. haha.
Seriously, they are cute.
