Spring & summer seems to go away in a blink of an eye (especially last year).

Winter is like a deceiving devil that keeps giving you hope of going away just to come back and torment you again (like this week).

I think its more like spring and autumn. Japan basically is just all summer and winter. spring and autumn just don't exist anymore.

Straight from a wooly hat & coat to shorts & t-shirt. A shame the Japanese media is more excited about an early cherry blossom season than the potential end of our planet as we know it.

Tokyo has to squeeze in the cherry blossoms early, before the emergency declaration expired. No letting people outside to get healthy doses of vitamin D!

Meanwhile in many parts of Tohoku, it’s zero degrees and snow. Expect cherry blossoms to be slightly late.

Tell me about it! There are only two very small windows in the year when I don't need to use the heater/cooler/electric fan.

I have to say, this winter hasn't been so bad (yet). I haven't seen my own breath inside my apartment this year!

My crocuses haven't flowered yet. Perhaps they think spring has already gone!

Is that the Kawatsu sakura? More pinkish than the Somei Yoshino.

It was 19 yesterday and now the carries are blooming over a month early. Climate change, every year the cherries blossom earlier and earlier. No more April blooms for most of the country. Its Feb and March now.
