Met the man when he was doing The Last Samurai. Very amiable. Not the best actor in the world by any means, and of course with the whole Scientology thing there are some personal flaws, I would say, but a nice guy all around. Obviously well-received in Japan.

Was a mess when I passed bu last night. absolutely packed and lots of shrieking women in attendance. Sweet little guy though, if a bit nutty at times.

It's hard to fault Tom, because he is one of the few actors that looks like he genuinely enjoys his trips to Japan. I hope he enjoys his stay.
