Beautiful area. Also reminds me that I probably would have frozen out there on New Year's Eve if it had not been for the wool scarf and heat pack that my home-stay mom had given me. I had not idea how cold it gets. Stay warm(!)

Yes indeed it is festive doom, as Fukushima is spreading all the radiation in Tokyo. Apparently life goes on as normal for the majority.
