Why are these punks celebrated so much here in Japan? The are second rate boxers, they never box outside of Japan, they always seem to box Joe Palukas from developing countries, and still people treat them like they are the second coming of Ali, Tyson, or Leonard. I just don't get it. And what was up with the singing of the national anthem last night, a Yakuza wannabe singing for a bunch of chimpiras.

Well said hachimike, these gimps are nowhere in the greater scheme of things and would love to see them get a good ole fashioned ass kicking in the ring by fighting outside japan and a decent opponent.

PURE PUNKS!!!!

What say we get Tyson to fight them? I'd pay good money for the 10 seconds it'd take for him to knock all three of them into the next prefecture :)

Decent fight. The eldest is second rate but has a strong spirit. The middle one is third rate at best. I heard the youngest is the real deal, but I haven't seen him yet.

I think they have the manners of Tyson or the like. Pure idiot punks who have no respect for others. I'd like to see them get their ass kicked. I wonder if he won this fight fairly or if there was some bias on his side. Can anyone shed any light on that if you saw the fight?

They should get in the ring with Pacquiao. I wanna see how long they'll last :)

Are you sure the Venezualan was not paid off to lose to this shortie..:)

I watched Daiki fight the Romanian and thought the Romanian won,and he was ranked 14th..which indicates his truer level...in the last fight the Venezuelan generally landed more but copped a hiding in the final round.

The young one is pretty good - the older two just fight tin cans and are generally very unlikeable people.

I'm suprised they don't get beat more often.

They have the kind of faces that you'd never get tired of punching.

But, then again, they fight nobodies and never leave their back yard.

I'd love to see any of them on an opening card in Vegas against a real fighter.

"They have the kind of faces you'd never get tired of punching"

Har!

I heard the company that arranged the stay for a previous 3rd-world opponent for the one of the Kamedas did whatever they could to make the visiting fighter's stay miserable...delayed flights, crappy hotels, transportation issues, you name it. The night of the fight the poor guy was jet lagged and exhausted and couldn't beat a tied up 5-year-old paraplegic...I say line-up a real fight with a Brooklyn homeboy in Vegas or Atlantic City and see what the boys are made up...

the 3 stooges...

haters ! 3 world championships belts for Koki, that's more than 90% of the boxers will ever see in their career. Congrats !

japanese boxers never fight overseas. is there a reason for that? foreign promoters don't want them? they can't fight without the homecrowd behind them? exchange rates no good? what's the problem? if they can beat good fighters in foreign countries, they can earn a lot of respect/credibility.

clubber lang vs. ivan drago is actually a pretty good fight.

Bantamweight is like watching malnourished children fighting. You have to have some mass to put some power behind your punches.

their fights are more entertaining than the ones of the fat and slow heavyweights right now. Smaller categories are always funnier.

@carsuke- i agree, more action and funnier, but one of the reasons they can hit eachother so many times is because those little arms have no power. the heavyweights are slow but when they hit it rattles their teeth.

A bantamweight punch on a heavyweight fighter is nothing, but on a bantamweight fighter, I don't know. I need to find statistics. I think, no matter what the category is, a good and well timed punch will always KO. Look for Hasegawa - Rocha.

I'll give them credit when it's deserved. As for now, they still haven't faught anybody worth anything.

I like how these chumps just keep on winning..........in Japan. They kinda' remind me of Japan's Women's Volleyball Team: the V-ball ladies qualified for the `08 Olympics by playing all of their qualifying matches in Japan....but then when they played in Beijing, finished in 12th place. Same deal for these chumps. When they start traveling to other places to "defend" their "titles", and keep them, then I'll be convinced. As it is, they rarely if ever leave Japan to defend, and they fight pretty-much nobodies. Carsuke, again, when they start actually fighting contenders away form home and winning, then I'll give them some due. Until then, same-ol, same-ol....
