all the badges in perfect sync, the hands, the feet. It's surreal. It looks like the orb above them is to pack and ship them off to various stores, nice and fresh

So sad, sucking the life and spirit out of the youth of Japan. There will definitely never ever be a Google or Apple or any other world changing company coming from Japan. Japanese corporations still treat new recruits like its 1940. The Japanese older generation cannot figure out when they are not contemporary anymore. They just keep on doing the same thing over and over. When things don't work out they go to the temple to pray. When praying doesn't work they blame it on the youth. There is so much opportunity in Japan to make successful companies, but the problem lies with the older generations outdated thinking on what it takes to make a business grow and be successful.

@Christopher Glen, those suits basically are identical. In Japan there are well-defined "interview suits" for men and women. Always black, and indistinguishable from each other, because God knows you wouldn't want to stand out but do want to telegraph your desire to fit into the team and not make waves.

It's just you. Random rectangles placed at right angles does not constitute a swastika.

DarkKnightZ. 1400 Yen!? In their dreams. More like 900. You must all work hard, the pay will be low, not enough to live on, the company will reap billions, are you with me? I can`t hear you! ARE YOU with me?

Those suits look identical. Don't be afraid to add a little variety people. It also looks like an indoctrination ceremony, with some resemblance to North Korea. Another thing, why start on Friday? Why not do the logical thing and start on Monday like the rest of the world?

"Is this ceremony indoctrination or intimidation?"
Id guess both hey.
wtfjapan
look into the light, do exactly as we say, do not give you opinion its really needed but If you do have a brainstorm please tell one of our senior management, if the idea is a flop then you take full responsibility, if it is a great idea that makes the company more money/ efficient then accept that management claim your idea as there own. accept our meager pay and long hours of work, accept that well give you lifetime employment or until we dont need you anymore and will put you in a windowless office by yourself, until you quit. If you agree with all these terms sign here, with your blood. we now own you hahahahahahahr

Great job Genichi Tamatsuka..CEO giving speech to the freshers. Always candidates in the threshold of their career would be inspired by the key people in the organizations. It helps them to do better in their jobs.

The road will be bumpy along the way. Pull up your socks, all young recruits!

The light is probably a hypnotic device so the president can convince them its a good idea to work 70 hour weeks for 1400 yen per hour. (Only the first 40 hours are paid, btw)

Is it just me, or all these drab young people dressed in matching black uniforms and that decoration on the ceiling looks like a swastika?

They look about to be sucked up to the Mother Ship.
