Japan Airlines (JAL) has released this photo of a Boeing 777-300ER featuring the image of professional tennis star Kei Nishikori. The jet, called "JET-KEI," will begin flying on international routes on March 4, carrying Nishikori and the rest of Japanese national tennis team on board JL043 from Haneda to London Heathrow in order to compete in the Davis Cup against Great Britain.

JAL begins it's wasteful spending again. I don't think investment on a person's short career and fame is a good investment. Will it help to draw foreign tourists to Japan? Picture of cherry blossoms or a picture of Mt. Fuji would be my pick for advertising Japan.

Except that given his last performance he's not exactly on his way up. Perhaps not the best thing for an airline company?

The other tennis players on the airplane must be jealous of him!

Japanese advertising aimed at foreigners really should have some foreign input, this clearly did not.

The other tennis players on the airplane must be jealous of him especially those players that have won major titles yet dont get there own photo on a plane.
