Hitachi Seaside Park in Hitachinaka, Ibaraki Prefecture, is a spectacular display of baby blue eye flowers (known as "nemophila") in full bloom. Around 4.5 million nemophila reach their peak season at the end of April, a phenomenon known as the "Nemophila Harmony." Hitachi Seaside Park is a unique natural environment of sand dunes, forests, grasslands and springs. It has a total space of 350 hectares, of which 200 hectares face the Pacific Ocean.
