While I personally would love to see the Japanese women win I can understand why the American's are favorites. Just a couple of weeks ago in a friendly match the US team gave the Japanese women quite a thumping if I recall correctly.

The French team were absolutely awesome in the last 10 minutes or so. They seemed like an irresistible force but the Nadeshiko hung on!
