"If ever I am asked to explain what the expression "grimace of disdain" means, I will use the above picture, and point to President Park's reaction.

Also-chan sure has a good taste when it comes to wardrobe! Some other J-politicians need a slice of that!

Considering the relations between the two countries, I get the feeling those smiles are really fake.

Aso should've worn his Al Capone hat. Makes him look ... um ... tougher?

Some of you seem to get caught up in nationalistic fever. Not all politics is personal. They were likely quite civil and believe it or not, might actually like each other.
Cos
They probably appreciate each other as they are the same type of persons, same royalty level social class, probably same ideas for many topics... It's likely that neither would give you the time of the day, unless you're at their level.
Just like Anne Hathaway on the stairs to the oscars : "I'm the most beautiful in the universe...".

Gotta say, Aso's looking better in these past couple of pics of the day than he ever has. Good photo. Congrats to President Park, and good luck.

Aso is always a best dresser except his Al Capone hat.

They do need to have some grownup talk!!! Forget the kodak moment and get busy deciding our future or our past... whatever is the most pressing!!!

I don't like such a big smile. Wonder what he is thinking?

Hope Aso doesn't muck things up from here on out. Lets see if he can keep his tongue in chek in check.

For her age, she's beautiful.

Let this be the dawn of a new age of cooperation, peace and friendship between neighbors who share much in the way of culture, knowledge and the hope for the future.

hopefully these visits will lead to a stable S.Korea-Japan relationship (finally!) together they are stronger ^^

Wonder what they're really thinking behind those forced smiles.

I like the fact that we have this picture but headline is about S Koreans boycotting Japanese goods. All i can say is give us back Takeshima.
