Nice picture.

Why? Looks like a typical politico stroll-through. The F-man walks straight past the humidicrib with no interest at all in its contents - at least that's what the photo projects.
nutsagain
Well, given the rapid closures of maternity clinics in Japan, the number of med. students not electing obstetrics or gynecology as majors, things are looking bleak. Gynecology isn't considered a 'sexy' branch of medicine to study which is odd, as I'd say it's about as sexy as it gets....still.
Litigation suits against doctors here are taking off and few get it in the neck as much as gynecologists and obstetricians. Good luck for those wanting kids in the future.

I thought wearing (pink) crocs was illegal in hospitals.

No mask, a dirty outdoor suit, probably didn't wash his hands on entry, and they wonder why Japan has such a high rate of hospital infections!

With apologies to Monty Python...
Fukuda Morning, gentlemen.
Doctor Morning!
Obstetrician Morning, Mr. Fukuda.
Doctor Morning, Mr. Fukuda.
Fukuda Oh, very impressive. Very impressive. And what are you doing this morning?
Obstetrician It's a birth.
Fukuda Aahh. What sort of thing is that?
Doctor Well, that's when we take a new baby out of a lady's tummy.
Fukuda Wonderful what we can do nowadays.

Aah! I see you have the machine that goes 'ping'. This is my favourite. You see, we lease this back from the company we sold it to, and that way, it comes under the monthly current budget and not the capital account.
[applause]
Thank you. Thank you. We try to do our best. Well, do carry on.

I guess he timed his visit to coincide with this week's birth of a child.
