As is well known, Tokyo is a really safe city. Feel even safer 'cause police are stationed all over the place near my home and stomping grounds ... So, will sleep even sounder tonight ...

A couple of guys standing around in fluro vests with a whistle and a red light saber make things safer ? It must surely be all in the white gloves..

The sad thing is Obama doesn't really want to visit Abe.

Because whistles and flashing stick lights will stop anything!

"Halt! for my sign looks like a doughnut and I'm not afraid to use it!" I don't see how the temporary increase of police presence is a bad thing, perhaps a temporary nuisance if it causes worse traffic conditions but who doesn't expect traffic when in Tokyo? I just hope we don't hear cases of officers harassing people just as a means to let out their own frustration for having to work.
