Now... there is a great picture... Four 70 year old men being friendly with underage teenies... how inspiring.

I remember back in the late 1990's when young women wore shoes with soles like that.

They're looking at Gene Simmons wondering what he's planning to do with that.

A lot going on in this photo, and I'm not sure what to make of it.

KISS and Momoiro.

Both known for their elaborate live performances. Both known for their makeup and costumes, and they both took on the personas of comic/manga-style characters.

But one group was formed by two friends, the other was formed by a management team. One group writes their own music and lyrics, the other does what their management team says to do.

Advantage: KISS

This just doesn't work.

This is really cool of KISS to do this! But what happened to member Akari Hayami et al? BTW... none of these girls are 12! All members are 18+!

What a tick... original members Sumire Fujishiro, Manami Ikura, Yukina Kashiwa, Tsukina Takai, Miyū Wagawa, and Runa Yumikawa, also appear to be out of the band!

Momoiro Clover Z and KISS have a lot in common!

This reminds me of This Is Spinal Tap, where the have-been rockers are billed alongside a puppet show. And they're at least glad to be listed before the puppet show.

A fun photo, and a great chance for both, although it'll be something the Momoiro crowd remembers forever (which is good, of course), but for Kiss is just another stop on the road for a local photo op. Hope they all enjoy themselves.

I hung out with Gene Simmons during a football game back in 2011 and have to say that he's a pretty smart and cool guy. He's super laid back considering how much he has going on and pretty damn funny too.

'volland' FYI, the oldest member of Kiss is Simmons at 65 and the rest: Paul Stanley 63, Eric Singer 56 and Tommy Thayer 54. So, no they're not "four 70 year old men being friendly with underage teenies..."

That's nice. However, I was expecting the girls to be black-faced, as in the Black and White Minstrels. What happened?

I saw a video of this news conference on YouTube and was a bit uncomfortable to see it. One of the KISS members were touching one of these girl's hair, picking her up, and so on. It will be extremely wrong for me to accuse these guys as pedos, but they have been acting really strange around them. I like KISS but this gig with these girls just don't fit their image on a positive level.

Does anyone remember that Japanese band that was basically a rip-off of KISS?

Bottom of barrel scraped.

Ah, that's the sound I was hearing!

Must be! I've hung out with people at football games, too. And lots of them are cool and groovy! I especially respect Gene Simmons' advice to people who suffer from depression ("F--- you, then kill yourself.") This man is truly a mensch.

His collaboration with pre-teen (or supposedly pre-teen) girls is such a beautiful artistic gesture. It moves my belly. God bless the modern music industry!

I take this for what it is - fun for many different generations!

I can't believe those abs on a 65 yr old! Amazing!

Thank you... that of course makes all the difference.
