They look very nice with Bali clothes. Hope they enjoyed dinners with leaders of other countries. Wish JT can snoop what kind of food were on menu.

Is his wife a leader? Why are the tax payers supposed to pay for her trip ?

Certainly looks better than Hatoyama's dressing!

The wife looks like she's headed for a gala. The man looks like he's going down the road to pick up some ciggies.

I hope they got taxed hard for those outfits!

The spin doctors are definitely bringing his wife out aren't they? Am I being a little but too cynical? No matter how they are spinning Abe (along with a compliant media that is showing that it has always been firmly in the LDP's corner) he is still what he has always been. He hasn't changed his spots at all since last time around, they've just decided that it is better not to talk about certain things. All this talk of Abenomics by the compliant media is facile and immature and building this man into something he isn't. Reaganomics (like it or not) was based on an fiscal ideology that made a real break with the past, Abenomics as far as I can see is just running printing presses. It is worrying that the media is going along with the political spin doctors and creating an image of this man that he really isn't. What are his real intentions for the future of Japan?

I thought he is wearing the formal suit. All leaders may as well wear their traditional suits/clothes instead of host country's one.

Please note that all leaders wore endek to the dinner. It is protocol for leaders to dress casually at APEC dinners.

I believe it's tradition for leaders to dress in the tradition of the host country.
