Yukiya Sato of Japan soars through the air in his first jump in the men's normal hill event of the Asian Winter Games in Sapporo on Wednesday. Sato, 21, recorded jumps of 98.5 and 94.5 meters at the K-90 Miyanomori Ski Jump Stadium, scoring a total of 254.0 points, to win the gold medal.

should this even be classified as a sport!? it just doing a big jump on skis. its like, anything can be made into a sport these days?! its like im gonna ski really fast then do a big jump! but good on him anyway! subrarashii jumpu!

This is a sport that really has to be taken up when you are still young enough to believe you are immortal. I am in awe of these guys.
