A worker displays various "kumade" or "good luck rakes" to sell during the Torinoichi festival at Hanazono Shrine in Tokyo on Wednesday. At the festival, many street stalls sell "kumade" decorated with lucky charms, in the shape of rakes, in the hope of bringing in prosperous business and good fortune.

These things work! They really do bring good luck.
I was there last year and saw Shintaro Ishihara and Junior buying a massive one. And this year he's managed to completely avoid any responsibility for the Toyosu Market scandal. Fantastic! Shintaro banzai. Okane banzai. Kumade banzai!

They cost an arm and a leg, too.
