Regarding Japan's controversial second goal, even if it had been disallowed, Japan would still have moved on as #1, and Spain would still have been #2.

Are you sure about that? I believe it would be Spain & Germany in on goal difference.

Good for them and Japan! Ignore the naysayers who will rain on everyone's parade by saying the country spends way too much time fixating on this shining moment, when the citizens of any country would act the same if their team was on the path to World Cup greatness.

In addition, the behavior of the fans and players, cleaning up the trash and mess before leaving the stadium, continue to inspire the people the world over.

Great pic and no masks anywhere (ok there is one on a chin). A picture that reminds of the importance of being able to see faces, sing unmasked and enjoy the beautiful game! Lots of non-Japanese fans there too - nothing brings people together more than football.
