Crew members of Kashima, a training warship of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF), stand during the arrival of two other JMSDF training warships, Isoyuki and Shirayuki, at Rodman port in Panama City on Wednesday. The ships are making a three-day goodwill visit to Panama.

Cause it is seen by some as a symbol of right wing emperialism and military colonialism in Asia. Kinda like a swastika in Europe. But you knew that.
