Goossh!! thats how you search for bodies, kind of mission impossible. These soldiers ,no doubt will be dead tired at the end of the day just to lift up their legs out of that thick mud , one after one after one...

Technologically advanced doesn't always mean better. Tried and true, no matter how simple and uncomplicated, is often the best method to get some things done. An example from my line of work: every day before flight operations (and sometimes during if needed) everyone that works around the flightline does what's called a FOD (Foreign Object Damage) walk-down. We pilots, along with aircraft handlers, fuelers, maintenance personnel, etc. all line up in a straight line shoulder-to-shoulder across the runway/flightdeck and slowly walk its length while picking up every piece of debris we see in front of us like pebbbles, screws, nuts, bolts, etc. so that they can't potentially get sucked up into a jet engine and cause a FOD incident or worse. Could we develop a more advanced method using technology to sweep the flightline? Perhaps, but it certainly wouldn't be as simple, thorough or cost effective. Could these two soldiers be using a ground penetrating radar (GPR) unit? Perhaps. But it's highly impractical given the muddy terrain they're searching, the technical expertise/experience required to effetively operate a GPR, and the unit cost of a GPR times the thousands of teams like these two conducting the search. Simply put, sometimes a guy in waders with a stick is the best way to look for bodies. Seriously...
