Old way of thinking. If we would stick to your idea, Japan wouldn't celebrate half of its seasonal festivities, half being brought from the West.

Last week I bought a pack of eggs after my son pointed from the shopping cart he wanted "that one with skulls and jack-o'-lanterns in the package".

I don't see why we can't just make costumes and decorations like we used to. It was much more fun. Why do we have to buy all that rubbish?
